What I heard
Participants described transit as too expensive or limited for some residents and raised particular concerns about safety at night. They wanted a service that people of different ages, incomes and abilities can trust throughout the day.
Why it matters
Reliable transit connects residents with work, school, appointments, groceries and community life. When it is unaffordable, infrequent or feels unsafe, people without another transportation option lose access to the city.
What I learned...
This was one of the most widely shared visions, with contributions from ten unique respondents across all three sessions. Affordability, reliability, accessibility and personal safety appeared together rather than as separate concerns.
